Rinspeed UC? Is a new concept car that will be showcased for the first time at the 80th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place next year between March 4-14.
It is an electric car concept with the name coming from “Urban Commuter” and “You see?”, which has great chances to enter series production in the near future.
The car is only 2.50 meters in length and was conceived like this to avoid gridlock in cities, while the innovative railcar loading system allows it to travel by train. Drivers would be able to book the battery charging station via the Internet and operate the car using a central joystick.
Specifications include 124 Newton meters of torque, a maximum speed of 110 km/h, and an operating range of 120 kilometers.
“UC? – it’s a new and highly emotional web-based car world that interweaves individual and public transport in an intelligent way,” declared Frank M. Rinderknecht from Rinspeed. “We want to create a community of people who are open for a new definition of mobility.”
